Mette, Griff and Benson Boone along with the band Paramore will be the opening acts for the Eras Tour series of shows in London in June. Mette will perform on June 21, Griff will perform on June 22 and Boone will perform performed on June 23.

The Eras Tour is designed to honor the discography of the “country music princess” throughout her 17-year career. The Eras Tour covers all the musical styles of Taylor Swift ‘s 10 studio albums, from country and pop to folk and alternative rock. The tour will begin in March 2023 and is expected to end in December 2024. It will be held in many European and Asian countries, with a total of 151 performances.

“I think it’s an exciting time to announce the opening acts for the London shows, which will be preceded by Paramore’s performance. I chose artists whose music I love. I hope their performance will add excitement to our night,” the American singer and songwriter shared on Instagram Story.

Mette

Mette Towley (32 years old), whose stage name is Mette, is an American dancer, actress and singer. She began to receive a lot of attention in 2017, when she starred in NERD and Rihanna’s MV “Lemon”. In 2019, Towley starred in “Cats”, a musical film starring singer Taylor Swift as a cat. The work is based on the famous musical Cats, about a group of cats facing an important choice at night. Mette also appeared in the 2020 superhero film The Old Guard in the supporting role of Jordan. In 2021, she released the song “Petrified”.

The American singer also appeared in the movie Barbie in 2023. Mette released her debut EP (extended disc) “Mettenarrative” in September 2023.

In November 2023, she opened for singer Jessie Ware’s UK tour, following shows in London, New York and Los Angeles.

On January 11, 2024, Mette released the single “Darling Drive” with Scottish producer Sam Gellaitry, a song inspired by the street where she grew up in Minnesota.

“I really want to be an artist when I grow up, but dancing is the area I feel most confident in. Even when I started working on my debut EP in 2019, I didn’t tell most of the people and friends around me. The feeling of becoming a singer is still very far away. Now, I feel like I can really assert that for myself,” Mette shared with Vogue last year.

In addition to participating in the Eras Tour this summer, Mette will also perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.

Griff

Sarah Faith Griffiths (23 years old), known by her stage name Griff, is an English singer and songwriter. In 2019, she released her debut single “Mirror Talk” through Warner Records. Griff shared that this single was a highlight in her career. Billboard described the song as an “exhilarating debut” and praised her “powerful voice.”

The British singer released the single “Paradise” in October 2019. In December 2019, Griff released a cover of the 1989 song “Eternal Flame” by the American band The Bangles.

In July 2020, Griff was nominated by The Ivors Academy for the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award.

Griff was named a Rising Star at the 2021 Brit Awards, becoming one of the youngest winners of the award in this category. At that time, she was only 20 years old. Taylor Swift and Griff met at this awards ceremony.

Benson Boone

Benson James Boone (21 years old) is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

Boone’s career began when he shared singing videos on the social network TikTok. He then auditioned for American Idol but withdrew from the competition after placing in the top 24.

“The reason I wanted to leave American Idol was because I wanted to do music. I decided that I wanted to do music and didn’t want people to think that Benson Boone was only famous because of American Idol. I want to compose famous songs and make people love them,” Boone shared.

The male singer was quickly noticed by Dan Reynolds – lead vocalist of the band Imagine Dragons and was offered a recording contract. After that, Benson released a series of hit songs, notably In The Stars and Beautiful Things.

With the song Beatiful Things, Benson Boone is sweeping many music charts, including the Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 for 7 consecutive weeks.

As of April 2024, Boone has 6.8 million followers on TikTok and more than 60 million monthly listens on Spotify. His debut album, Fireworks & Rollerblades, was released on April 5, 2024.
