“Today I realized I will never look like this again…” Selena, who previously admitted to “crying buckets” over body-shaming comments, wrote of the first photo, taken in Miami, Florida, in 2013.

“I’m not perfect, but I’m proud of being who I am… sometimes I forget that it’s okay to be me,” she wrote in the following image, taken in Mexico in 2023.

Selena has shared body positivity messages several times in the past. Last February, she also went after body shamers and revealed that her lupus medication is responsible for her weight gain.

Earlier in the day, Gomez went makeup-free and rocked gray cashmere sweatshirts with beige furry flip-flops for a pamper session at Face Place skincare salon in West Hollywood.

The pop star had her hands full when she arrived at the 52-year-old’s facility, which offers cosmetic medical procedures such as Botox, radiofrequency microneedling, Kybella and plasma fibroblast skin tightening.

Last February, Gomez said she will “never be a model” as she went after online trolls who had commented about her body.

The Only Murders In The Building actress explained that she will “retain a lot of water weight” due to various medications she takes and also encouraged fans to practice self-love even in moments of embarrassment.

The Lose You to Love Me singer, who previously opened up about her autoimmune disease diagnosis and mental health journey, also said: “When I don’t do it, I tend to lose weight.”

While she continues to celebrate body positivity, the former Disney star expressed that the slightest side effect is incomparable to her health: ‘My medications are important and I think they are what help me.’

In response to the haters, she told them to “go away, because I honestly don’t believe in shaming people for [their] body or anything like that.”

“So, yeah, I’m not a model,” she said, adding, “I never will be.”

“And yes, we have days where maybe we feel like shit, but I would rather be healthy and take care of myself,” she said.

She also called out body shamers in 2022 in a clip on her TikTok Stories.

‘Honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people get upset about it anyway. You’re too small, you’re too big, that doesn’t fit, Meh meh meh meh.’
