On the afternoon of April 28, Rosé (Blackpink) shared on her personal page a photo of the gift she received from singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, which was the album “The Tortured Poets Department” just released by Taylor.
Along with the album, Taylor Swift wrote a handwritten letter to Rosé: “To my members of The Tortured Poets Department. This is a little bit of my gratitude to you, for your support, sincerely. I hope you’ll welcome this album into your life (and the vinyl collection too!)
With all my love, and lines of damning poetry. Your friend, Taylor.”
The Blackpink group member also responded and expressed emotion at the meaningful gift: “Thank you Taylor Swift, I’m about to cry.”
This is not the first time Rosé has shown her close relationship with Taylor Swift. In early February this year, Rosé went to see Taylor’s The Eras Tour concert in Tokyo, Japan. She was placed in a seat reserved for special guests. The Kpop star excitedly recorded the moment of enthusiastically cheering for Taylor like a true die-hard fan.
In September 2023, during a business trip in New York (USA), Rosé was seen leaving the Electric Lady Studios recording studio at the same time as Taylor Swift.
International media revealed that this is the launch party and preview of Taylor Swift’s new album, with the participation of Rosé and a number of artists close to Taylor such as Hayley Williams, Sabrina Carpenter, Cara Delevingne, Gracie Abrams, Sadie Sink, Margaret Qualley, Karen Elson, Jack Antonoff.
Previously, at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift attracted attention with her dancing, singing along and enthusiastic support when Blackpink performed the song “Pink Venom” on stage. At the after party awards ceremony, Rosé took close photos with Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter.
